MAYA

Tulsi Sahib has described the snare of ignorance which Maya (Illusion) has spread in the world. Even sages and ascetics have not been able to escape her allurements. Her power extends right up to the region of Universal mind. Only those fortunate few escape the net who take the refuge of a living Master.

Nar se niksi ik nari:-

From man emanated a women whose guiles
only a saint comprehends,
She has neither hands nor feet neither head nor body,
and she has devoured the whole world.
Neither mother nor father has she; of herself she is
 born, and has brought misery to her husband.
She is neither young nor old, but ever in bloom,
albeit without a body is she,
All are oblivious of her wiles, while she has enslaved the world.
She neither comes nor goes, neither takes birth nor
dies, for aeons she remains formidable,
Rishis and munis were ruined by her lure;
the whole world moans in distress.
She tore apart the sun, the moon and the planets,
and swallowed them all.
The mobile and the static she has her morsel,
and spread her web in the entire Universe.
Who took the benign protection of the Master,
Were fortunate to awake and escape her;
Who were able to recognise her could alone triumph
over her and cross the Ocean
Says Tulsi, throwing away her snare,, I fled
And attained liberation through association
with Saints.

SALVATION DURING LIFE

SANT RAMSINGH JI MAHARAJ

People in general and the priests in particular speak of the state of salvation after death, on the basis of scriptures. Tulsi Sahib points out that these people have no right to make such assertions. Only those who have experienced salvation during their lifetime, namely who have gone through the prosess of dying while are competent to make such claims.

Jivat kartab sabhi batave

In this life the concept of salvation all describe,
To meet the lord by dying while living none, discloses.
They all speak of the goal of salvation after death;
How to attain in while living no one says,
Were they to reveal the method of attaining release while living,
Then alone would Tulsi be convinced of their words,
While living, no crosses the bourn  to the other side;
After death no one returns to this side to tell the truth.
How have the scriptures made assertions without experience?
They know not of the state of the one who has died.
Not a bit do they speak of the other side;
Yet on this side they teach us how to attain salvation.
Still people seek truth fro priests and study scriptures.
All their accounts are mere hollow conjectures;
They dole out falsehood not by seeing but by reading.
One who has seen his evidence I accept as true;
He who speaks without seeing, speaks but untruth.
After death no one returns, nor does he send any letters,
Without experience who imparts the method goes to hell.
Who speak after seeing with their own eyes,
And teach the method of salvation during life
Are of the stage and stature of Saints,
For they reveal the quintessence of the soul.

Enter the temple within

Ali ree Kal karat behali

Kal has put the world in distress O friend,
Go thou beyond his realm to reach thy True Home.
 hold in thy hands the lamp filled with elements as the oil
And with remembrance s the wick to show thee the way,
Let the fire of Brahm be ignited within thy body
And illumine the palace with rediant light,
Take the key from the Master open the lock and enter the temple.
By the name "kind and Merciful" is he known;
Ever and anon he forgives us our sins.
Enter within thy self and there behold the invisible Beloved;
And cherish thou and ever foster thy love Him.
With knowledge discrimination and contempaltion
Let the bonds of kal be served.
Reach thou the banks of the lake O Tulsi,
There take a holy dip and wash away thy karmas.
Pure is the love of that immaculate Lord,
Seeing whom the soul is filled with bliss.

REVERSE YOUR GAIT

It is by withdrawing our attention from the world that we can attain our True home. It enable us to discover our true self and regain the lost treasure.

Ulati chalae darbar:

Reverse your gait from the court of this world
and attain your True Home.
The drop will merge in the ocean,
and you yourself will know the wonder,
The lost treasure will be found and your true-self
will be revealed.
He who has solved this riddle, O, Tulsi.
is indeed a true Saint.

Master shows the path

The riddle of the Universe is lover by the Master. It is through him that the Inaccessible can be attained.

The insoluble mystery is solved by the Master alone.
He shows the path to the Inaccessible and the way to hit the target.
The soul crosses the Ocean and beholds the Primeval Lord;
Indeed O Tulsi, it merges into him, even as a stream is lost in the ocean.

The Sectarians

This poem is written in denunciation of the sectarian approach to religion and of the practices of the priests and the ritualists. They generally resort to external observances to gratify their ego.

Dagar sant ka panth:

How can the sectarian ever know the path of the Masters and where it leads to?
Deluded are the priests and the ritualists burning in the fire of the world.
They have put the load of pilgrimages, rituals and external observances on themselves.
Indeed, they resort to all these practices O Tulsi, to gratify their ego

FALSE DISTNCTIONS

To distinguish people as high or low by birth is erroneous for God has created and pervades all.

Neech unch nahi dekh

Look not in people as high or low;
Know that the one has created them all.
There is no Brahmin, no Sudra no Kshatri;
they are not apart.
Nor has the Vaisha a different caste;
The one pervades all.
Indeed who considers, them as separate O Tulsi,has wasted his precious life.

THE VAIN PURSUIT

People indulge in worldly activities and pursue worldly ends, or else they repeat the name of the lord as a mere ritual. They will never realize Truth nor attain salvation.
Lobh log pachi mare

People toil in pursuit of worldly desires;
Who cares for the search of Truth.
They relish the pleasures of their senses and revel in their passions.
Parrot-like they repeat the name of lord as mere ritual.
They attain not salvation while living O, Tulsi, but babble about attaining liberation after death.

Futility of Rituals

The Lord beyond matter and form and so external observances cannot lead to God-realization; He can be realized only within the human body.

Nahi roop nahi rekh

The Lord has neither form nor shape and yet the ritualist wander about in search of him;

He roams in all the four holy places, but his object remains unfulfilled.

He reaps no reward from stones and gains no benefit from water.

Indeed the Lord resides within the house, O Tulsi but there he seeks him not.

CONCENTRATION OF THE SOUL

Fear of death can be conquered through concentration of the soul at the eye center. Ultimately this leads to union with the Lord.
"Jin jin surat sanwar"
Whosoever has concentrated his soul
has been redeemed from the fear of death.
She has ascended the firmament with force,
and has found refuge at the feet of the lord.
She has taken abode in the infinite region
and has attained union with Beloved.
Indeed, O Tulsi, she has been delivered from delusion, suffering and fever of countless lives.

Wake, O traveler, Wherefore dost thou sleep?

The night has already ended.
Whosoever sleeps, loses all; whosoever wakes,
is blessed with great good fortune.
One who has forgotten the Master and the secret of his primal home,
He struts about in the world, unfortunate that he is.
Worldly attachments hold him fast in their grip;
what evil days are in store for him,
Know thou the essence of human birth and lose not this golden opportunity;
Break all thy shackles and get deliverance from the ceaseless cycle of birth and death.

Jag jag kahate jug bhae

"Wake up, wake up!" has been said for ages,
but not once did he awake;
Not once did awake, how shall he ever find the essence?
For ages and ages he has slept; who but the Saints can wake him?
He has fallen into the net of delusion; Who can release him from this bondage?
Whosoever talks wisely ti him, he listens not a whit.
Through the ritualism of pundit, the whole world has been deluded.

WAKE THOU, LOST IN SLUMBER

A warning is here given against the lethargy of man in working for his salvation. Life is fleeting death is fast approaching and yet time is being wasted.
1. "Bhor koi jago re jago":
It is dawn, wake, oh wake thou, drowned in sleep so deep.
Dark clouds are gathering a storm is brewing The watchman yells, "The night is over".
Those who have awakened are now rid of their fever;
Who still are lying asleep, their house is being burgled.

They know no mercy

ROLE OF MASTER

If he were to meet the benevolent Satguru,
the primordial mystery would be unravelled.

Sab jag jata re jata

The whole world is going it is ever on the move,
But none sends any news, Any information.
They leave from here, they bring no news;
From there no one ever comes back.
All the world is moving towards death,
But none solves the mystery of the end.
Blindly the world on the path of rituals flounders;
The pundits prescribe specific garbs and rites,
But they disclose not the path of salvation.
Be thy deeds pious or evil, They will not give thee human birth;
When the soul leaves the body and the not mortal frame decays,
It goes into the cycle of eighty-four.
In the form of donkeys, dogs, swine and the like,
It is crushed and chewed in the jaws of Kal.
Ceaselessly revolves the individual in the whirlpool of transmigration;
Never does he find peace and calm
For the sake of his father and mother, brother and son,
He carries a heavy load on his head,
When the angel of death takes hi life from within his body,
At that crucial time there is none to keep him company,
The cruel messenger of death tortures his body,
He beats and kicks him without compassion.
When he cared not for the deeds he committed,
What use are regrets and repentance now?
He takes life in the world to be worthless,
And he listens not to the counsel of the wise,
Leaves this vain debate, O Tulsi, for death is at hand;
False are all family relations who entangle thee!

The first program at Chanasandra

The first program at Chanasandra, which included Westerner dear ones was from 6 February 2008. Are tan bhang Bhanwar man

O thou ever - wandering mind, thou bumble-bee,

Break the shackles of thy body;

For age after age thou heave been dyed in the fast colors of this world.

Even as the juggler makes a monkey dance with the strings is his hands,

so does the Karma-juggler make our mind dance to his tune.

It wanders for aeons and aeons in the bondage of the body;

In pursuit of sense pleasures it roams, as does a kite without a string,

The ruthless and tyrannical Kal, without the mercy of the Master,

Is subdued not so formidable is his power.

For countless lives the mind has been under the sway of passions;

From moment to moment it has been a captive of the wave of cravings.

The pursuit of desire makes one take abode in the body;

The endless chain of Karmas throws him into the cycle of birth and death.

O Tulsi, in the company of thy Master become a swan, 

And in the crystal water of Manasarovar attain salvation.

CYCLE OF KARMAS

The cycle of human actions is unending. How a man acts determines the mental make up of his next incarnation. That,

in turn, leads to further actions. And so the cycle goes on. The only way to break through this vicious circle is to seek the guidance of a Master and according to his instructions, Obtain deliverance.

1. Karm pradhan buddhi upjai

The mental make up of man emanates from his Karmas,

He remains involved in performing actions good and had.

According to the nature of the actions, performs,

He is put into the bondage of various species.

He carries loss and profit, pain and pleasure along with him.

He who conducts his trade under the sway of desires,

Drifts with the currents of the ocean of eighty - four

He moves from species to species according ho his actions,

This snare is manifestly spread in the entire creation.

He is born, he dies, and again he takes a new frame:

As he sows, so does he reap the fruit of his actions.

In the cycle of eighty - four, he remains is slumber,

And in the human form, only a rare one awakens,

Through a Master's teachings he realizes God,

Just as collyrium placed in his eyes restores his vision.

Without a Master's teaching to guide them, even gods,

men and sages do not get release;

When Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh get not deliverance,

What can we say about ordinary creatures?

Satsangies Telephoned BABA Ramsingh

In 2011 one of the satsangies telephoned Baba Ramsingh ji that Sharanappa swami was seriously ill. He was admitted to the hospital at Anantpur. Baba Ram Singh Ji went to the hospital. One of his Sevadar named Suresh told Sharanaappa Swami, " Babaji has come." Then Sharanappa Swami said," It is enough! I am ready to go. Please have mercy on me." Baba Ram Singh gave some money to the sevadar and asked him to bring Sharanappa to the Guddella Ashram and He would do his Seva there.

The existence of the creation and The Saint

When the creation came into existence the Satpurush gave some of the souls to the Kal power, the Master of the physical world. The Satpurush however gave a promise to the souls that when the Kal souls torture them He will come in the form of a Saint and take them back to the abode of happiness, Satlok. From that time onwards the Satpurush in the form of a Saint has come to take the jivas back to their Original Home. Kabir Sahib came into the world in all the four ages. Guru Nanak and the other Sikh Gurus as well as Ravidas, Namdev, Tulsi Saheb, Swami Ji Maharaj, Jaimal Singh, Sawan Singh, kirpal Singh, Sant Ajaib Singh, and Baba Somnath etc. all came in the form of a great Sant satguru on this earth to bring the souls home. They had to face many difficulties in the region of Kal. Sant Ajaib Singh ji said, "The Saints come into a beautiful form but only a few dear ones derive the benefit from them.It is very difficult  to recognize a true Saint in the region of Kal". Tulsi Saheb also writes in his Bani.

Tulsi sahib enumerates here the gifts that the Master bestows on his disciple. Not only does he guide the Disciple in his daily conduct; he also gives him inestimable help in the Spiritual journey within.

The way cannot ever be found.
He will dye thee in Satsang's color,
Take thy soul to regions celestial,
and reveal the firmament within.
If thou desirest to revel
In realms spiritual within thine own self,
None will help thee except the Saint.

And thy body be reduced to dust.
Thy Master alone, O Tulsi. will show

Guru never dies:

Maharaj Sawan Singh Ji wrote to an American Satsangi in reply to a letter, "Guru never dies. The person whose soul goes within, the Master takes care of him in his life time. The work of giving Satsang and teaching id done by the successor. However one should keep his attention on the form of the Master who he was initiated by. At the  end time, the initiating Master is the one who will give the Darshan. There is no need to take initiation again. Until the Master takes his disciple reach Satlok, his responsibility is not completed. Many satangis sit for three to four hours however, because there is no love within for the Master, they don't really get anything.

Beginning of Naam Initiation

As noted previously, Baba Ram Singh Ji began to give Satsang programs in may cities and villages in both, the Northern and the Southern regions of India. Savitri Bhatt was a good meditator lady. She used to come to Baba Ram Singh after Baba Somnath had left the body. She would attend his programs. Guddella Ashram is situated in the Ananthapur District of Andrapradesh. There is a beautiful hill named kadrappa by the Ashram. At that time Guddella was a small Ashram. A Small room was on the first floor for Baba Ramsingh Ji.

The program at Sirsi

After Sant Ajaib Singh Ji  left his physical body, Baba Ramsingh began to give satsang and meditation programs. There was a disciple of Sant Ajaib Singh named Padma at Sirsi. She wanted to celebrate her mother's birthday. Her mother was an initiate of Baba Somnath but she had been away from Satsang for many years since Baba Somnath had passed away.

The second Birth

Baba Ramsingh ji took his second birth at the house of a Disciple of  Baba Somnath. His life time in this birth
was only 8days. He had to pay some Karmas there. So he was given this birth for only a short period.

The first Incarnation as Mahadevappa

The First birth was as Mahadevappa yogi. He was born at Raichur(Karnataka). He was from the Lingayat Clan. He was well educated. He had the job of a police Inspector. He became ill with the disease of leprosy.

Unbearable pain of Separation

SANT RAMSINGH JI MAHARAJ

Now Baba Ram Singh also became an orphan again after Sant Ajaib Singh ji left the body. He was in deep unbearable pain. Guru Angad Dev has described this state like this:

"It is better to die before your beloved,

Curse on the life lived after the beloved's departure."

 The love of Sant Ajaib Singh helped him to forget the pain of separation of Baba Somnath. Now he could not bear the pain of separation of Sant Ajaib Singh Ji.

Kabir Saheb has said:

" Separation from Ram one does not remain alive

If one lives, he lives like a crazy."

Baba Ram Singh's condition was like a crazy one. He did not feel comfort day and night. The Sant Satguru, Who put his gracious hand on his head, was not in the physical body any more to hear his grief.

Physical departure of Sant Ajaib Singh ji

After the Delhi program Baba Ram Singh returned to Andra. He prayed to the supreme Father Som - Ajaib day and night at Guddella Ashram and he began to receive the indication within that Sant ji was to leave soon. So he went Mudigal, The same place where he had meditated for a year after leaving the Kengeri Ashram. He sat for meditation there and after some days he got the message that Sant ji had left this phycial world.

The last Satsang program of Sant Ajaib Singh Ji

Sant Ajaib Singh gave his last program in Delhi in May 1997. When Ram Singh went to Sant ji for Darshan, Sant ji asked him, "How is your Ashram?" He replied , "Sant Ajaib Singh ji said, "Do you need some money?" He replied, "Maharaj! You have given me a lot of wealth, now I need only your grace.

Baba Ram Singh came to Andra raking the order of Sant Ajaib Singh ji as the order of Baba Somnath.Sant Ajaib Singh ji ordered him to give Satsang. However at that time he did not know how to give a Satsang. He could speak kannada because he had lived in the Kengeri Ashram but he did not know how to speak Telugu language that well. So he started the Satsang in his broken Telugu language .

Give Ramsingh to me

Baba Ram Singh also took his parents for the Darshan of Sant Ajaib Singh Ji at this mumbai program. His parents wanted Baba Ram Singh to live with the family and that he should work on the farm in Banaras. Sant Ajaib Singh Ji gave his parents about one hour and then advised them,"Due to good karmas from previous births Ram Singh will do devotion and make others do devotion."

Meditation with R.R. Singh

In Mumbai he stayed at the house R.R. Singh was devoted disciple of Baba Somnath. He was a good meditator. Baba Ram Singh had a previous birth relation with him. So he remained in his Seva for many days. R.R. Singh had a small room in a chali at Bhawani Shankar road in Dadar Mumbai. that small room was used as a shop as well as for sitting eating and sleeping R.R. Singh was a paan leaves dealer. So their work was to choose only the fresh paan leaves and then discard the rotten paan leaves.

In this stat of renunciation Baba Ram Singh, Bhuvneshwar and Ganpathi dressed themselves likes Sadhus. They started for the Himalayas. They reached Davangiri on foot. The Sangat of Davangiri requested them to stay there longer and mediate but they had already decided to go to the Himalayas. So they left that place they went to the bank of Aghnashini River.

Physical departure of Babaji

It was November 28, 1976, Sunday at 11:20 a.m Babaji's chief Sevadar pushpamma came out shrieking with grief, "babaji has left the body". The entire sangat was full of sorrow. Baba Ram Singh was doing the Seva of placing maize in fornt of the hall.
